Derrygonnelly Harps Lotto won!!!

Congratulations to Tara McSharry of Cliffoney, Sligo
who scooped up the £7500 jackpot last week.

Sunday gave everyone connected with the Harps plenty to be proud of as our seniors returned to the reconstructed Canon Maguire Park main pitch after an absence of over a year. The result against Ederney was positive, and puts us in a position to push on in the league. It is the club's intention to have a more festive occasion to mark the opening of changing rooms and pitch next year but Sunday was significant nonetheless as our club President Fr Lynch blessed the pitch at half time in the senior match, and the club grounds definitely looked fabulous on the day. A lot of work had gone on in the leadup to the big day and many thanks are due to the groups of young and not so young members who came and did all kinds of jobs on the Monday and Thursday evenings last week, plus people who helped out with painting, drain work in front of the stand and many other pieces of work. Our caretaker team of the Maguires plus grounds supremo Donal Corrigan can be proud of the way things looked on Sunday.  It was all worth it and it is all much appreciated.
There are still a few spaces around the perimeter of the pitch for advertising banners. Anyone who might be interested in taking should contact Gavin Duffy.
Our Under 16s play St Josephs this evening at 7.30pm at home in a game which will determine the final makeup of the league table. Our Under 12s are at home to Kinawley this Saturday and training continues for this group every Tuesday at 6.30.
The Cul Camp took place at Canon Maguire Park last week, and we were delighted to see almost 70 youngsters in attendance. Thank you very much to the team of coaches who were very diligent and whose work was really enjoyed by our young members, and to Aodghan Murphy who managed the camp.
